If you work in a plant with many measuring instruments, this problem is probably familiar to you: you send equipment for external calibration, days or weeks go by and just when you need it, “the usual one” is missing. In order not to stop production, you pull reserves, then duplicates appear and calibration becomes a mixture of agenda and urgencies.

External calibration is necessary for some instruments, but the certificate should not be the only control mechanism. Between calibrations, instruments continue to work: they suffer shocks, temperature changes, intensive use… and often there is no intermediate evidence to ensure their real state at the time of measurement.

This course is structured in 5 lessons:

  1. When calibration starts to be a problem in the plant: why the “all external and by schedule” model is no longer scalable.
  2. Calibrate, verify and adjust: what each means and how to decide according to the risk involved.
  3. Execution with statistical criteria: MSA 1 type verification (10 repetitions) and automatic results with computed checks within Kapture.io (mean, bias, standard deviation and uncertainty).
  4. Historical + BI for better decision making: trends, planning and costs consolidated in visual indicators to manage the entire calibration system.
  5. Economic impact: understand the cost savings of implementing a hybrid in-plant calibration model.

The goal: to reduce downtime, minimize duplication and make data-driven decisions, regaining control over the plant’s day-to-day operations.
